Ones to watch - Books for November

Hi there! :0)

I realised the other day that there are so many amazing sounding books that are due for release over the next few months. So with that in mind, I thought I would put together this 'Ones to Watch' post! :) So here we go...

I will try and keep this chronological, but best laid plans and all that! lol

Katya's World by Johnathan L. Howard

Pub - November 1st 2012

I've already read this one,(go to the reviews page to read my thoughts on it), but I want ALL of you to read it too! It's a brilliant Sci-Fi book and is a great introduction to the genre :)

"Katya's World is set in the future, after earth has colonised other planets in the universe. It is set on a planet called Russulka, which has almost no land on it. The humans must learn to live under the sea. It is a harsh and unforgiving place that has encouraged extreme pragmatism in its people.

I won't go into details about the plot, I'm not a big fan of spoilers, but I will say that there are a lot of twists in this book. Some you will spot coming, but others will catch you out!"

To read more about it, and some reviews by others, go here to its Goodread page

Fitz by Mick Cochrane
Pub - November 13th

This one intrigues me. It sounds very different from the books I usually read, read what Goodreads had to say about it.

A father, a son, and a gun. This could make for an interesting day..

Sometimes Fitz would look at himself in the mirror, an expression of pathetic eagerness on his face. He was a dog in the pound, wanting to be adopted. He'd smile. What father wouldn't want this boy?

Fifteen-year-old Fitzgerald—Fitz, to his friends—has just learned that his father, whom he's never met, who supports him but is not a part of his life, is living nearby. Fitz begins to follow him, watch him, study him, and on an otherwise ordinary May morning, he executes a plan to force his father, at gunpoint, to be with him.

Over the course of one spring day, Fitz and his father become real to one another. Fitz learns about his father, why he's chosen to remain distant and what really happened between him and Fitz's mother. And his father learns what sort of boy his son has grown up to become.

I'm liking the sound of this book.

Reached by Ally Condie
Pub - November 13th

This is the third instalment of the Matched Trilogy. I read the first two at the very beginning of the year and I enjoyed them. I may have to re read them before I tackle this one though

Here's what Goodreads has to say;

"Cassia faces the ultimate choices in the long-anticipated conclusion to the "New York Times" bestselling Matched Trilogy
After leaving Society and desperately searching for the Rising--and each other--Cassia and Ky have found what they were looking for, but at the cost of losing each other yet again: Cassia has been assigned to work for the Rising from within Society, while Ky has been stationed outside its borders. But nothing is as predicted, and all too soon the veil lifts and things shift once again.
In this gripping conclusion to the #1 "New York Times" bestselling Matched Trilogy, Cassia will reconcile the difficulties of challenging a life too confining, seeking a freedom she never dreamed possible, and honoring a love she cannot live without."

So that is just three of the upcoming new releases for November. What books are you waiting for? Let us know with a comment below :)

See you next post
